Welcome to "Winchester by Patricia." Patricia was a resident of Hemet. She became interested in our restoration of the Patterson House. On these pages you will see her perspective on the house and the community.

  At the right is the rear entrance of the house with the door on the right leading to the kitchen and the door on the left going into the dining area. Note the well worn stoop on the right door.

  Below is a closer look at the door leading to the kitchen. Oh if only this wood could talk to us about the people who crossed over it since late 1891.

Aged for 116 years the bricks and wood tell us a story and a feeling of what life was like over the years.

Vegetation also tell us a story of the history of the Patterson House. The age of this cactus is unknown. Sadly insects and other factors have caused this cactus to die.
